Everybody in golf is talking about Rickie Fowler these days, partly because he's got mad game, and partly because he got mad style, Ricky has flare! He's got moxie! He's fresh! He's modern! Some of the folks at Augusta National don't seem to thrilled about the new kid on the block. He recently got a swift reminder about how serious the traditions of The Masters really are.
Rickie and his trademark backwards fitted hat were in for a surprise when arriving at Augusta. Augusta National member Ron Townsend actually reached in and turned Fowler's cap forwards. Fowler laughed and joked and said he just wanted people to see his face. Townsend again indicated that the cap should stay forward, and this time, Fowler complied. Ricky Fowler is an amazing golfer on the rise and we're sure you'll be hearing about him for year to come and yes, Fowler could become one of the few to win Augusta in his very first appearance. But all this is trumped when it come to the traditions of The Master. Win the tourney and maybe they'll let you rock you had how you want to next year. With all said and done we think any golfer with passion like that definitely has a shot at the title.
